Configure Benefit Time Tracking in ProPunch Follow
Benefit Time Tracking allows administrators to manage employee Time Off balances. Once a profile is defined, it can be assigned to one or more employees. The application will then automatically deduct time from an employee’s Time Off balance when an associated time off entry is added to the employee’s timesheet. Conversely, if an associated time off entry is removed from an employee’s timesheet, the application will automatically credit (add) the time back to the Time Off balance.
Notes:
- If a Benefit Time profile is assigned to one or more employees, there will be no Delete icon available. The profile can only be deleted when no employees are assigned to it. To see the employees assigned the profile, click the Employees icon next to the profile name. This view also allows easy navigation to the employee profile where the Benefit Time profile can be unassigned if needed.
- Assign the Benefit Time Tracking profile to the employee in My Employees >> Employee Setup.
To configure benefit time tracking, follow these steps:
- Log in to the ProPunch application with an administrator profile.
- Click on Company Setup >> Benefit Time Tracking.
- To add a Benefit Time profile:
- Go to Company Setup >> Benefit Time Tracking.
- Click Add Benefit Time Profile.
- Enter a Name. Names can be up to 50 characters.
- Select Start of Benefit Year.
- Employee Start
- Calendar Day (mm/dd)
- Enable the Time off categories to be tracked by checking the box under the Enabled column. All visible time off pay categories are available to be tracked and will appear in the Time Offs list.
- For each enabled Time Off, set the below values as needed:
- Annual Time Allotment – This value determines the amount of time an employee is allotted at the start of each Benefit Year for this Time Off. Valid values are 000:00 – 999:99.
- Maximum Carry Over – This value determines the maximum amount of time that can be carried over (added to) the next Benefit Year for this Time Off. Valid values are 000:00 – 999:99.
- Days Before Time Off Can Be Used – This value determines the number of days from the employee’s start date the employee must wait before becoming eligible to use this Time Off. Valid values are 0 – 999.
- Click Save. This profile can now be assigned to employees.
To edit a Benefit Time Profile, follow these steps:
- Go to Company Setup >> Benefit Time Tracking.
- Click Edit for the profile to be edited.
- Click Save.
To delete a Benefit Time profile, follow these steps:
- Go to Company Setup >> Benefit Time Tracking.
- Click Delete remove the profile.
- Click OK to confirm the action.
