Add and Track Holidays in ProPunch Follow
You have the convenience of adding and tracking holidays to ensure accurate time management.
Notes:
- Holidays can only be configured by administrators.
- Holiday hours will be automatically added by the application to employee timesheets on the first day of the pay period containing the holiday(s), assuming the following conditions are true:

- The employee has the Auto-populate Holiday Hours option enabled on his/her profile.
- The employee is not assigned a Pay Calculations profile OR the employee is assigned a Pay Calculations profile with Holiday Pay options that are true or not enabled.
- The application server must remain running at all times to ensure holiday hours are auto-populated.

To configure holidays, follow these steps:
- Log in to the ProPunch application with an administrator profile.
- Navigate to Company Setup in the side menu and select Holidays.
- Click the Add Holiday icon .
- Enter Holiday Name.
- Select the Pay Category from the dropdown.
- Enter the Hours to Pay for the holiday.
- Update the Holiday Settings
- Select User Defined if the holiday date will be manually set in the Holidays table.
- Select Set Holiday Date to and set the date to the specified day of the month. This will automatically set the holiday date in the Holidays table.
- If the Holiday is on a Saturday, you can select the option to move the holiday to fall on the previous Friday or the following Monday.
- If the Holiday is on Sunday, you can select this option to move the holiday to fall on the previous Friday or the following Monday.
- select Set Holiday Date to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or Last weekday in the month to automatically set the holiday date in the Holidays table.
- Click Save to update the Holiday table.
- Be sure to click Save on the Holidays table when done.
To edit a holiday, follow these steps:
- Log in to the ProPunch application with an administrator profile.
- Navigate to Company Setup in the side menu and select Holidays.
- Click the Edit icon of the holiday to be edited.
- Update the entry, then click Save.
To delete a holiday, follow these steps:
- Log in to the ProPunch application with an administrator profile.
- Navigate to Company Setup in the side menu and select Holidays.
- Click the red X icon to delete the holiday.
