Automatic Print Color Options on an ATR480 Follow
With Automatic Color Schemes, you can set your Acroprint ATR480 Totalizing Time Recorder to change the print color after a certain time of day. Choose the specific time, days, and color (black or red) to highlight punches, making it easier to spot early or late punches or customize the printout for other similar purposes.
Button Functions
The 1-6 keys on top of the clock serve as function keys in programming mode. The functions are printed on the card door above the column numbers. To enter programming mode, move the black set switch found below the #1 button from Run to Prog.

To adjust color printing on the ATR480:
- Open the front cover using the key.
- Move the black Set switch found under the function keys from Run to Prog (to the right) to enter programming mode.
- Press button 6 (Mode) three times to navigate to ES04 (Automatic Color Schemes).
- The device should be on Code 01 (Change Schedule). The code is located on the lower left of the screen.
- There are four settings to be set for each code. Once all four have been confirmed, the code will increase by one and another set can be confirmed.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to set the hour of day for the color change.
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to set the minute for the color change.
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to navigate between the days displayed on the top of the screen.
- Press button 4 (Back) to exclude or include the day in the schedule set.
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to select the color of the ink to be used.
- 01: Red.
- 02: Black.
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection. The device will move to the next code.
- Repeat steps 5-13 until all color print schedules are set.
- After setting all color print schedules, press button 6 (Mode). The device will move to Mode ES05 (Set Password).
- If you are done, move the Set switch from Prog to Run (to the left) and replace the cover.
