E-05 Error on the ES700 Time Recorder

The ES700 typically displays the E-05 error when a time card or document has not been inserted correctly. Straighten out the time card or document and try reinserting it, watching through the window to align the punching mechanism. 

If you continue to experience issues, you may need to clean the sensor. Sometimes dust and dirt will build up behind the switch and not allow the sensor to activate properly. Open the front of the clock as if you were replacing the ribbon. Using a can of compressed air, blow into the top of the clock where you insert the time card.
