Getting Started with Your ES900 Time Recorder Follow

You received your Acroprint Model ES900 Time Recorder and you're ready to get started. Some items such as the time and date are preset at the factory. You can check out our factory settings here. We recommend reviewing the other articles in this section and customizing the device to your needs before use.

Before You Start

Packaging Contents

Unpack the time recorder and check its contents to ensure that the time recorder unit and all accessories below are included. If equipment has been damaged, contact us.

  • (2) Keys
  • (1) Factory Installed Ribbon Cassette
  • (2) Wall Mount Brackets with (2) Screws
  • (1) Wall Mount Sheet with (4) Screws and (4) Mollies

 

Open the Unit

Insert the key into the lock on the cover of the unit. Turn the key clockwise to unlock the unit. Remove the cover.

Remove the Cardboard Insert

When you open the unit for the first time, you must remove the Protective Pad and Cardboard Insert, then Plug the AC Adapter into the back of the unit. The ink ribbon may dislodge. To avoid damage to the printer, press the ribbon cartridge firmly into position after removing the protective pad.

Close Unit

Replace the cover. Insert the key into the lock on the cover of the unit. Turn the key counter-clockwise to lock the unit.

Wall Mounting Instructions

The ES900 should be mounted on 1/2 inch drywall using two ST 4x20 screws and fasteners.

  1. Install the supplied wall-mount screws by using the template. Be sure to keep about 6mm (1/4") of the screw head away from the wall. The recommended height from the floor to the bottom of the unit is 45".

  2. Open the unit.
  3. Hang the unit on the wall and install Wall Mount Brackets.

  4. Close the unit.

 

Power the Unit

To power the device, plug the AC power cord into the back of the ES900, then plug the AC adapter into an outlet. If you are experiencing power issues, confirm the power cord is securely plugged in or try an alternate outlet.

 

Print Position

The print position from the card edge is adjustable by pressing and sliding the print position button located on the bottom of the unit. The maximum distance from the edge of the form to print is approximately 1 3/16" (30 mm).

The ES900 has three (3) control buttons enabling you to quickly locate and adjust a variety of settings.

 

Control Button Function

SELECT

 Press SELECT to choose the desired program setting mode. The selected program setting is indicated by the upward pointing arrow on the display. 
CHANGE Press CHANGE to cycle through the options.
SET Press SET to set the option. Press the SET button again to return the Time Recorder to the normal operation mode. 

 

Settings

To enter the program setting mode, make sure the AC cord is plugged into the AC outlet and remove the cover. Next press SELECT once. The recorder will change to the program mode showing the upward pointing arrow on the display positioned under the TIME mark.

 

Things to remember when adjusting the ES900 settings:

  • You must open the unit to make changes to the settings.
  • After performing each procedure on the unit, remember to press SET until the unit returns to normal operation mode.
  • To exit program mode anytime, press SET until the unit returns to normal operation mode.
  • When you are setting a digit or an option on the display, flashing means that it is ready to be changed. You must press SELECT until you reach the desired digit or option. Then press SET to lock the desired value in place.
  • Printing is always disabled while settings are being changed. Once the final SET has been completed in any given operation, printing is enabled.
  • After updating the settings, replace the cover and lock it.
