Password Settings on an ATR480 Follow
Setting a password on your Acroprint ATR480 Time Recorder helps secure access to Program mode. When a password is set, you will see a row of dashes on the screen when attempting to enter Program Mode. You will need to enter the correct password to access the clock menus. If you misplace your password, contact us to assist you in resetting your password.
Button Functions
The 1-6 keys on top of the clock serve as function keys in programming mode. The functions are printed on the card door above the column numbers. To enter programming mode, move the black set switch found below the #1 button from Run to Prog.

3 | Enter | Press 3 to confirm the set value. |
4 | Back | Press 4 to go to the previous setting. |
5 | Cancel | Press 5 to cancel the set value. |
6 | Mode | Press 6 to move to the next menu. |
To set a password on the ATR480:
- Open the front cover using the key.
- Move the black Set switch found under the function keys from Run to Prog (to the right) to enter programming mode.
- Press button 6 (Mode) four times to navigate to ES05 (Set Password).
- The device should be on Code 01 (Enable or Disable Password). The code is located on the lower left of the screen.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to enable or disable the password functionality.
- 00: Disable passwords.
- 01: Enable passwords .
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection.
- Skip to the last step if passwords are disabled. The device will move to code '02' if passwords are enabled.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to adjust the 1st digit of the password.
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to adjust the 2nd digit of the password.
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to adjust the 3rd digit of the password.
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection.
- Press button 1 (+) or 2 (-) to adjust the 4th digit of the password.
- Press button 3 (Enter) to confirm the selection.
- If you are done, move the Set switch from Prog to Run (to the left) and replace the cover. Make sure to store your passwords in a secure place.
