How can I enroll the admin's fingerprint on the FC 100 clock? Follow
These instructions will guide you through enrolling an admin with a fingerprint on the clock. Admin access is required to complete the steps. This process enables administrators to clock in and out using their fingerprints instead of a card or password.
To enroll an administrator's fingerprint on the clock, follow these steps:
- Go to My Employees >> Employee Setup >> Edit the employee's profile.
- Locate Hardware Settings.
- Enter Clock User Id and set Security Level to Administrator.
- Clock User Id can be up to 9 digits.
- This field must be set before finger enrollment on the time clock.
- Save your changes.
- Make note of the Clock User Id.
- Go to Company Setup >> Time Clocks >> verify that the status is green.
- Go to Company Setup >> Time Clocks >> Assigned Employees.
- Make sure there is a check next to the employee(s) names.
- Click Done when finished.
- Take the administrator to the FC 100 Time Clock.
- Press MENU.
- Select Register, press OK.
- Select Admin, press OK.
- Select New Reg, press OK.
- If the admin already has a password or badge in the software and has been assigned to the clock, select Backup instead of New Reg.
- Select Finger, press OK.
- Using the keypad, enter the admin’s Clock User ID defined in ProPunch and press OK.
- The user will be prompted to take 3 samples of the same finger.
- If the 3 scans are successful, the clock will prompt to continue.
- Press OK to enroll a second (backup) finger for the same admin or press ESC to repeat the enrollment steps for the next admin.
- Once complete, press ESC until the Welcome screen appears.
- Have the admin complete a test punch and check the software to ensure that it has been registered.
